Evaluation Process

EVALUATION PROCESS

Parents can request players to be moved to a different division. This should be clearly requested on the players’ evaluation form or emailed to walkertowngirls1@gmail.com.

Request should be made before evaluation dates. Any request made after teams have been drafted will need to be reviewed by the board.

How Players Are Evaluated

Players will be evaluated within the age division that corresponds to their birth date.

During evaluations, if a player demonstrates skills that may be appropriate for a different division, the evaluating coaches will document this on the evaluation form.

Division Review Process

• Players noted for a different division may be reviewed for potential movement.
• This review does not guarantee placement in a higher or different division.

Final Team Placement

Final division assignments are determined based on:

• Overall registration numbers
• The need to create balanced and competitive teams across all age groups

Players are scored 1 to 5 for:

• Fielding
• Hitting
• Throwing
• Base Speed

In addition Pitchers are evaluated on:

• Mechanics
• Pitching speed
• Pitching Accuracy

Catchers are evaluated on:

• Mechanics Throwing accuracy
• Trowing Range/Power
